The shortage is expected to continue for several days with those not accommodated told they would be contacted when spaces became available. At least seven men who arrived into Ireland seeking international protection on Tuesday were told there was no State-provided beds available.
Ms Burns said 100 single adults arrive into the State every week seeking protection, with the closure of the Citywest hub meaning many of those people could be left sleeping on the streets. Novas would provide a hot meal, a sleeping bag and toiletries to people, but she said it could not provide a bed as the capacity was not there. The situation was “very tight at the moment,” she said.
Come to our Country, come to our Country you will be safe. Seek asylum with us. They come: we have no room for you. Our God complex took over. Oops
Blame the guy who sent out leaflets in every language across the 3rd world inviting people to chance their arm with the asylum system when we didn't have the capacity to house even real refugees.
So sad Lol
So?
What about the Irish people dleeeping rough. Have ye forgotten about them
Im sure all the people posting IrelandForAll and Irelandisnotfull will be more than happy to welcome them in to their homes - problem solved. irelandisfull
What about all the fucking Irish people sleeping rough?!
It is a very unfortunate situation for all, especially when there are hundreds of beds not been taken up by the relevant authorities ... only going to get worse as we have had government after governments that are reactive instead of proactive
It's been said and said again, Ireland is full, Roderic The Woke I' Girman paid no heed, now he's in the dodo, you love to see it
The government and media seem to be more concerned about asylum seekers sleeping rough than our own Irish. Paddy last again.
No the Irish homeless will have nowhere to sleep
Put them on a plane back to where they came from.
If the Irish government may just bring in Ukrainians fleeing war and send the economic migrants back home and it really is a joke why they are turned down for asylum appealing their case should not be aloud it’s all costing money and border is a border this shouldn’t happen
Ah god love them what about the Irish and yous call yourselfs the Irish times JOKE!
what is the logic of advising asylum seekers not to come here when there is no were to put them and then sleeping rough, Why don't they return them to the safe country they boarded the plane, what sort of fools are running our once lovely country .
Do you think the Irish homeless deserve accommodation? We’re absolutely sick of this nonsense now from government and you propagandists.
How fickle are the Kildare Steet nabobs? If they are to remain true to their limitless invitation we need to start getting beds now, today. If they were not serious they are fools or knaves.
And
Deport
Stop taking ppl in so.
Watch the crime rates go through the roof
Ireland is Full. IrelandIsFull
I'm confused , wasn't a number of NGO'S and delusional Politicians organising 'Welcome here Protests' 🥱 seemingly a warm welcome & Coco Pops to be had in BallymunForAll the North side & drimnaghaall
How come? Weren't tens of thousands of do-gooders on the streets recently offering to home anyone in need? IrelandForAll
Things like that normally happen when you invite thousands upon thousands over to a country which has a housing crisis and healthcare crisis..I wonder who is the brains behind it.
Enforce Irish immigration laws and get rid of this attitude that the Irish have to take everyone because they set foot in Our Country. The Irish Government are actually importing a Foreign Homeless population.
'Ireland is Full ' went from being a fringe online hashtag to being official government policy very, very quickly. Shouldn't rodericogorman and co resign?
