They are asking householders and businesses in low-lying areas to take precautionary measures to protect their property.
The areas include Morrison's Quay, Fr. Mathew Quay, Fr. Mathew Street, Union Quay, Trinity Bridge, South Terrace, Rutland Street, Sawmill Street, Crosses Green, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay and the southern side of the South Mall. High tide tomorrow morning is also likely to see some road flooding on Kyrls Quay, Lavitts Quay, Lapps Quay, Proby's Quay, French's Quay and Sullivan's Quay.
The local authority says road closures will not be required but they are advising motorists to drive with extra care between 7am and 8am tomorrow morning as surface water is likely in vulnerable areas. They are also advising vehicle owners to avoid parking overnight on the above listed quays and streets.
