Gardai in Cork City made a number of arrests last night as they responded to a series of incidents involving a 'volatile' crowd that gathered on the streets.
Multiple units of the Gardai moved in at several spots to break up crowds and intervene in several violent incidents, which were witnessed by scores of people. "Two people already have messaged me saying they got bottled and attacked in town tonight so please be careful it’s genuinely really rough in Cork tonight"."There was easily about 200 to 300 hundred of them," said the witness. "They were all underage, some of them had Lucozade bottles pouring vodka into it, there was smashed bottles all over the place.
