CervicalCheck campaigner Vicky Phelan has said she is seeking to take part in a medical trial in the United States in a bid to further treat her cancer.
And now she has said that she is seeking alternative treatment in America which would see her moving stateside for a number of months should she be accepted to the trial.Speaking in an interview on Claire Byrne Live on RTE she said: "I certainly would be one of the first in the queue for the Covid vaccine when it comes in because I know I'm in a situation with my cancer that I'm having to try drugs that are untested.
She added that since she has seen big success in the use of the drug Pembro which she campaigned vigorously for throughout her cancer diagnosis she would like to try another immunotherapy drug rather than go through gruelling chemotherapy.
