Stephen Termini, whose shocking story sparked outrage across the country, revealed that he was once again hospitalised this month after a health episode that’s now left him wheelchair bound.

The US tourist attacked in Dublin’s Talbot Street says he’s learning to walk again after suffering a recent seizure.

Stephen, who spent weeks in a coma in Ireland following his shocking city centre assault last summer, was on the road to recovery - but says he’s now stuck in a wheelchair and is learning to walk all over again. Stephen told how his dream is to return to Ireland and live here for the rest of his life - revealing that he’s also changed his surname to an Irish one.

Dublin Children’s Court heard on March 26 that the Director of Public Prosecutions has recommended trial on indictment, meaning the case should go to the Circuit Court, which has broader sentencing powers. After viewing CCTV footage, hearing an outline of the allegations and being furnished with hospital reports on Termini, the judge considered their cases too serious and refused jurisdiction.

A witness heard him say, “I don’t want to fight,” but “moments later, all three attacked Stephen Termini”.
