This is shocking!

There were ugly scenes ahead of the FAI Cup final as groups of Shelbourne and Derry City fans clashed near the Aviva Stadium.

Supporters are also captured fighting on the pavements of a street, as Gardai try to intervene to stop the violence taking place in the Ringsend area of Dublin.A flare is also seen hitting a Garda van, with tensions appearing to boil over between sections of the supporters. It comes ahead of the FAI Cup final between Shelbourne and Derry City at the Aviva Stadium, with over 30,000 people set to attend the match.

A similar incident occurred in the buildup to last year's FAI Cup final when a group of St Patrick's Athletic fans were attacked in Ringsend. Get the latest sports headlines straight to your inbox by signing up for free email alerts
