Gardai arrest two young men after cannabis seizure in Ballymun, Dublin

Two young men have been arrested after gardai seized cannabis herb worth over €100,000 in Ballymun, DublinOne of the men was found to be carrying a box which contained 5.6kg of the drug, which has an estimated street value of €110,000, Dublin Live reports.

A garda spokesman said: "On Saturday, September 28 2019 Gardaí attached to the Special Crime Task Force and the Ballymun District Drugs Unit who are monitoring the sale and supply of drugs in the area intercepted two males on a motorcycle on waste ground in an area known locally as ‘Seven Pitches’ in the Ballymun area of Dublin 11.

"One of the males was carrying a box which contained 5.6 kilos of Cannabis Herb with an estimated street value of €110,000. Both men were arrested and are detained at Ballymun under the provisions of Section 2- Criminal Justice Act 1996."
