The victim of an assault by two sons of Kerry TD Michael Healy-Rae said he almost cancelled his wedding as a result of the attack.
Co-accused Malachy Scannell 34, of Inchinacoosh, Kilgarvan received two six month suspended sentences for the incident on December 28, 2017.The two men, of Sandymount, Kilgarvan, are sons of Independent Kerry TD Michael Healy-Rae. He told how his wedding later in Kenmare was “marred” for both he and his wife Lauren by the memories of the assault.And he has suffered “significant financial” loss due to taking time off work unpaid.
