Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision which occurred on the N20 at Rathgoggin.The driver of the car, a man aged in his early 70s, and the driver of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old man, were both fatally injured during the collision.Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene and the road is currently closed with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. They are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage , who were travelling in the area between 1.30pm and 3pm to make this footage available to Gardaí.
