Mr Trump has signed an executive order after attacking Twitter for tagging his tweets about unsubstantiated claims of fraud in mail-in voting with a warning prompting readers to fact-check the posts.
Yesterday, Reuters reported the White House's plan to modify Section 230 based on a copy of a draft order.The President's remarks and the draft order, as written, attempts to circumvent Congress and the courts in directing changes to long-established interpretations of Section 230. Others like Jack Balkin, a Yale University constitutional law professor said "The president is trying to frighten, coerce, scare, cajole social media companies to leave him alone and not do what Twitter has just done to him."
He and his supporters have leveled the same unsubstantiated charges against Facebook, which Mr Trump's presidential campaign uses heavily as an advertising vehicle.
Time now get rid of trump from Twitter he is using social media for his own use stand up and be counted Twitter you will be there for years to come. Trump is just a no body of President that don't care about anybody but him self

The phrasing is interesting. Verb selection: scrap, weaken, protected. Social media giants interfer in elections and have been weaponised by left wing extremists. They need to be held accountable for misinformation and bias, just like RTE.

This law means the normal laws of libel that apply to RTE or newspapers.....Dont apply to Facebook or Utube...Legally they are seen as media platforms not publishers...That is why they are reluctant to remove content as they are not publishers...Gives them an unfair advantage..
