The talented gardener and RTÉ star is remembered by his loving family and wide circle of friends

Tributes have poured in for a beloved Kildare man who had just been crowned winner of RTÉ’s 2024 Super Garden.

A chairman of the Tidy Towns Committee, John is remembered for his lifelong passion for gardening. John will repose at Dunne's Funeral Home, Mill Road, Castledermot, Kildare on Friday from midday, finishing with a rosary at 8pm. Removal will take place on Saturday at 11:30am to The Church of The Assumption, Castledermot with mass at 12pm followed by burial at Coltstown Cemetery. One person said: “So sorry for your loss Liz. My sister and I both loved Johns garden on the show and at bloom. We spoke to you briefly and you both looked so happy and proud.”
