'Bridgetta will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile and she will be deeply missed by all of us'

A Roscommon community has been left in a state of "shock and sadness" after the sudden passing of a young woman.

Bridgetta, who was described as "always having a small on her face" was also heavily involved in her GAA club back at home where she played in goal. "Bridgetta enjoyed a very successful playing career with St. Brigid’s winning numerous accolades from underage right through to her adult career, notably winning numerous league and county titles with our senior ladies team."Bridgetta will be best know for her time between the posts wearing the number 1 jersey in goals for St. Brigid’s.

The heads of the university program at Robert Gordon University that Bridgetta studied also praised the popular lady.
