Transport sector has a hill to climb to meet climate targets

Public transport fares will need to halve by the end of the decade, while the volume and frequency of public transport will need to triple, if climate targets are to be met, according to internal government modelling.

While the Department of Transport modelling is not policy, it shows the scale of action needed for legally binding climate targets to be met.
