Traffic chaos looms as bingo buses set to converge on Dublin in protest against new gaming laws

Bingo buses are set to converge on the capital this morning as part of a protest against new gaming laws.

The Bingo Players’ Association believes strict new rules if the law passes could see every games hall in Ireland shut down overnight. Last week, there was traffic chaos when farmers brought a couple of hundred tractors to the Dail and parked around St Stephen’s Green.The Bill is set prohibit any games where more than 50% of the stakes are handed back out in prizes.Spokesperson for the Save Our Bingo campaign Alice Smith said yesterday: “We need everyone who loves bingo to get behind our campaign and join our protest outside the Dail at 10.30am tomorrow.
