Large hoteliers ending refugee accommodation contracts with the State will result in the loss of 1,300 beds between now and the end of May 2023, Integration Minister Roderic O'Gorman has said.

LARGE HOTELIERS ENDING refugee accommodation contracts with the State will result in the loss of 1,300 beds between now and the end of May 2023, Integration Minister Roderic O’Gorman has said.

The minister said the wait time before an offer of accommodation can be made is also lengthening because of the competing need to accommodate those losing accommodation in the hotels which are ending their contracts in March and April. CityWest Transit Hub, which has been used for emergency accommodation, remains paused for new refugees entering the country. As of 26 March, 2,475 persons requested IPAS accommodation so far in 2023.

Ukrainian refugees However, it is not just international protection applicants that will be impacted by the closing out of hotel contracts. “Initial indications are positive but negotiations are ongoing and a number of providers have yet to confirm their intentions,” he said.

And what about Northern Ireland hotels? - ALL full of illegal immigrants and adults claiming they are children! A chance here for friendly cross border cooperation!!

The Government is now looking at quicker build modular homes, similar to pod-style homes, which will be delivered in a shorter time frame, but may not last as long. why would this matter we want them to go home ukrainians and the rest

'It is understood that 700 modular homes are to come on stream shortly to provide 2,800 places.' No modular homes for the Irish being evicted from their homes. Government policy to housing. Ukrainians first. Homeless Irish second.

They'll have to go back to their luxury apartments in Kiev now.

The Migrant charities need to sue them and the Gov to ensure our refugees are not evicted they deserve better

Sure why not and add to “Storm Eviction” that is about to visit our shores

Can't cope with the concrete jungle rats

Their reputation destroyed forever

And where will they go …., on the streets like the others … or where … please enlighten us .

Surely everyone sees that is the asylum seekers taking beds from tourists...? Hotels are not built to be part of a mass immigration system

“Tourist season set to take 1,300 beds from system housing refugees” would you like to look up the word “hotel” in the dictionary and get back to me on this headline?

The tourism sector is going to suffer massively, the government have the country in ruins, its far cheaper to holiday abroad, plus you get the weather

Economic migrants

Good move. Bring back tourism. Send home the fakeugees

Happy days

'Pod-style modular homes' - if these are an option for those coming in from abroad, why were they not an option for our own? Whether on the streets, in emergency accommodation or on housing lists?

Good! The scammers can go home to their own fancy hotels and ski resorts in Ukraine. The rest of the 'Ukrainians' can go home too. IrelandisFull

Irish tourist industry set to lose €1.1Billion Meanwhile over in Ukraine...

Can the tourists not share their rooms with the unvetted. Just imagine what an enriching experience that would be for them just like it's ' as we are told' for the indigenous Irish.

They still did what they did and it wont be forgotten.

Ukraine plenty of rooms

Hopefully they’ll stay empty. They deserve to be boycotted 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Good, but we will never forget those who enabled illegal immigration of unvetted males into our beautiful country

Disgraceful bigoted far right hoteliers putting tourist season ahead of all the refugee families. What do they expect all the ukranian women and children to do 🙄

Tents for Events Contact O'Meara Camping

These hotels gladly sold out the Irish people for a few pieces of silver - everyone of them that took part in the plantation 2.0 of Ireland should be boycotted! Irelandisfull

Ireland belongs to the Irish ☘️ send them home

Hotels happy to take in the money during the winter but see how others are price gouging now. Increase the VAT rate ASAP on this very greedy sector

Can we have a list of hotels that took in the migrants..the wokies will be delighted to stay there.

Guess they're far right now

And they'll all end up on the streets causing mayhem just like the government planned

A good news story for a change. And we will be ready to dismantle any migrant camps or tent cities.

I will not book with any of these hotels. They deliberately sold the safety of people, especially that women and children, for 30 pcs of silver. I will boycott every last one of them.

Where are all the 'Ukrainians' going to go? 🤔

The asylum seekers took 1300 beds from the tourism sector not the other way around. The tourism industry was around a lot longer than the money pit of fake refugees.

I'm American of Irish descent and have been to Ireland several times. When I go to Ireland, I want to see the Irish people and the Irish Culture... not scores of imported unvetted males from rape cultures. Beds are only a small part of the problem.

Cry me a river...

Oh no, think of the children

They can empty them out all they like, any of them that facilitated filling the country with illegal unvetted military aged men, won't be ever getting my business..EVER... IRELANDISFULLL. EASTWALLSAYSNO...

The irony that these hotels are fully employed by migrants...

They need those tourist dollars. Zelensky should build some new cities in West 🇺🇦 with his Yankee billions. Problem sorted.

It would appear Ireland is indeed full

Staycations filled a gap in the market too. Eaten bread.......

Tell me we have a housing problem without saying “we have a housing problem”.

I’d never ever stay in a plantation hotel again. We need a list of the gombeen traitors that took the soup and devastated their communities and tourist industries

There are thousands of hotels with space in safe parts of Ukraine. Why are we paying huge money to house them here?

Great ,can we send them home now please

It'll take them a month of renovations to get the bang of akbarr out of the places. Some must be in a right state.

They are a Business after all. Up to them what they do. Same as landlords. Who are the Government to tell them not to be Air B&Bs. Blaming landlords on the failings of FFG.

Where is the uproar demanding that the government force hotels to keep the refugees? We’ve already established that private people or businesses should do the governments work.

Will never again use a hotel who turned their backs on the public, to take the quick fix funding from government.

Time to leave

Putting refugees or 'our own' homeless people in hotels was never going to be a long term solution.

Excellent news, now round up the welfare tourists, pack their belongings up and get them out. Send them back to wherever kip they swanned in from looking for freebies.

FG, Greens and FF and rest of them in government will pay for this next general election and European elections too

Why is the Irish government allowing open borders into Ireland when we clearly have nowhere to house our own people? Why are they building modular houses for Ukrainians when Ukrainian ski resorts are open for business and their hotels are full?

This is beyond farcical. Bad enough 🇺🇦 only Modular homes being delivered, now this nonsense, whilst 1000's of Tenants facing Eviction & literally, nowhere to go. It astounds me, there's so little anger at the blatant discrimination going on 🙄

The other way around. Tourism is getting back 1300 beds that were meant to be used for tourist in a first place.

'As of 28 March, 425 single males have not been accommodated' It's all single men when it comes to illegal undocumented asylum seekers in Ireland The Irish government is allowing open-borders and housing illegal migrants in hotels

While thousands of Irish people are homeless and even more are getting evicted. The Irish government is building houses for Ukrainians Ukrainian ski resorts are open for business and their hotels are full

Why are we destroying our tourism sector in Ireland when Ukrainian ski resorts are open for business and their hotels are full?

Interesting to see how much these hoteliers try shaft the tourists for now
