COPE Galway argued the 10,264 national figure only related to the number of homeless people being accommodated in State-funded emergency accommodation and did not include those sleeping rough and couch surfing.

With a staggering 15,000 current homeless - which will take years to sort - will Brussels allow Ireland to pause new migrant arrivals?

People living with their parents or couch surfing are NOT homeless. People have done this for decades not just recently. Let’s focus on real issues and address them

Well I trust Fr McAverry figures better than Murphy’s any day of the week, goes to show how incompetent this regime actually are,, paying millions to landlords daily on HAP schemes is waste of taxpayers money,!!
