Dr Tony Holohan releases graph showing when Monday's '77 deaths' actually happened

The Chief Medical Officer has released a graph which shows the dates Monday's 77 new deaths were actually recorded on.However, these people died over a 19-day period, with some patients having passed away at the start of April.

"The graphs show that they occurred over a period of time and that our daily growth rate in the notification of these deaths by date of occurrence continues to decrease. It also showed that the greatest amount of these 77 deaths were recorded on Saturday, April 18, when 11 people died from Covid-19.The Department of Health's Covid-19 briefing update on Monday revealed that the death toll has risen to 687.
