'TikTok solicitor' Richard Grogan dies after illness

Mr Grogan specialised in employment law and became known for his short videos on TikTok offering advice to young people and usually ending with his catchphrase:"That's the law and that’s a fact".

It described him as a tireless advocate both in proceedings and in the public arena, and it said it would miss his energy, humour and deep commitment to the profession. Mr Grogan qualified as a solicitor in 1979 and set up his own firm, Richard Grogan and Associates, in Dublin in 2009.

Nice that he got to offer such an appreciated and entertaining service to the public in his final years. And equally sad that it would be cut short so suddenly. He will be well missed

He was very helpful to me some years ago, he didn’t suffer fools and was straight and direct when he spoke. I remember leaving 1 meeting with him and said if he spoke to his clients like that, god help who he was going against! Great man and will be sadly missed
