Coronavirus Ireland: Three smaller counties see rise in Covid-19 cases over last 24 hours

Three smaller counties saw a rise in coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours, new statistics reveal.Typically, Dublin and Cork have reported the highest number of cases per day since the pandemic began, with the capital alone accounting for nearly half of all confirmed infections here.

Limerick saw the biggest rise in new infections across all of Ireland in the last 24 hours with nine new cases.Dublin, with four, Galway, three, Laois, three, and Offaly, three, also saw noticeable increases.It brings the total number of infections in Ireland to 26,162 while the death toll remains at 1,763.Out of the new cases notified, 26 are women and 27 are men.
