“There is no handbook or roadmap for dealing with this. Everyone across health service is pulling out all the stops. We are going to run into issues. Every country is looking for kits, reagents, ventilators.” Priority groups include close contacts of a confirmed case, healthcare workers, people who are at risk of severe infection and staff and residents of nursing homes.

Is that the waiting room at RTE's testing facility?

Why are photo opportunities so important to Fine Gael?

Only hope of getting out of lockdown is massive testing. As a decent Pharma country can we not come up with more testing?

Not good enough Leo ,

If this is true why was George Lee on RTE telling us we were one of the best countries for testing?

I was tested for covid 19 on Saturday last, so am I gonna have to wait another month for the test results.

Why aren’t the people wearing mask should be compulsory. Need to protect the top rank

SimonHarrisTD simon harris said we would have 15k tests daily. We have 10% of that. 10!! Could you possibly do worse?!!

We are in trouble folks

SimonHarrisTD are these labs or should I say lab is working 24/7 same as our hero nurses and doctors?

Have we looked at the Taiwanese methodology on testing ?

There have been delays from the get go you pr addicted self serving inept article

But we're following the South Korean model. Fucking blind leading the blind. And they had months to get a plan of action together.playing catch up rather everyday

Nice to see people reading article before commenting

Look FG/FF are using coronavirus to take back power they do not give a fuk about you or me

should have questioned SimonHarrisTD & LeoVaradkar earlier in their misinformation testing numbers, capacities and supplies.

Does playing a blinder really mean scoring a series of own goals?

There will be no need for it soon, as hunger and poverty will take over.

Goes back to what I've been saying since March 13th, I would have had a lot more admiration for the government if they acted over a month ago rather than reacted 2 weeks ago. Doing what they can do at this stage but so is the vast majority of our population.

Chinese equipment?

Already are .. my wife was due to be tested 2 weeks ago but HSE cancelled it .. no way to know how many people have been infected nationally when they have stopped testing.

Why,reaks of bullshit this......

No Winston Churchill quotes as to why?

Why is not surprising, our HSE has constantly failed us in every way.... I'm actually shocked that they admitted to it in the first place...

So basically why not just say lockdown is here to stay...

Hope it's April Fool's Day joke.

They need to get more labs/people to test the samples. On the news the other night it looked like only one small laboratory was doing all the testing for the whole country. Not acceptable to be waiting weeks for results.

'Yesterday I was lying, today Im telling the truth.'

says vegetable reject

Not really good enough

Unacceptable
