The Social Media column: Donal Skehan is thinking of leaving LA life to spend more time with family

Donal Skehan said he is thinking of leaving his LA life behind, in a bid to reduce the amount of travelling he has to do for work.

The TV chef, who recently welcomed his second child with wife Sofie in LA, said his busy schedule juggling jobs in the US and Ireland has taken a toll on family life. Hoping to cut back in 2020, Donal told us: “We are still early days about what is coming next but we will probably figure that out soon.

“My new year’s resolution for 2020 is not to be travelling as much and not to be away from family as much.“So if that means being back home, we will have to have a look at that in the coming months.” However, the best-selling chef and author of Super Food In Minutes added he still pinches himself to think he is still so in demand and has written 10 books so far, despite facing backlash from trained chefs throughout his career.“I’ve always got stick over the years from chefs but they missed the point and the last two books have really honed in on that. Our Irish Mirror Sports page - which brings you all your Irish and UK sports news - can be found here.
