Football star Michael Owen hung up his football boots in 2013, but his daughter Gemma Owen has been in the spotlight for the past eight weeks as she takes part in the summer 2022 series of Love Island.
Tonight's episode will see the families of the contestants entering the villa, and Gemma's mother Louise Owen will be on hand to see her daughter and meet the boyfriend, along with Gemma's childhood friend Sarah. However, famous Dad Michael Owen has declined to take part in the show, which is not surprising as he is known to value his personal privacy.
"My wife will do that duty. I'll represent the horses and she'll represent the daughter," he told the pundits.
