Premier League and Championship experience is in abundance in this Ireland XI that can be recruited for free.

Bargain hunters can bag an experienced Ireland XI for nothing this summer, with some big names available for free.

In terms of international experience, five have won 30 or more senior Ireland caps, with one player registering 79 senior appearances for the Boys in Green. Christie made 28 first-team appearances last season, including 13 starts, and last featured in the Championship as a late substitute against QPR, while his last Ireland cap came in the 1-0 defeat to Ukraine in the Nations League two years ago.

Asked last week about his future, he replied: “Where I stand is making sure I'm fully fit for pre-season. Those talks are going on in the background, they are above my head.”Cunningham confirmed his Preston exit on social media when he wrote: “My time at North End has come to a close.” Browne has made over 400 appearances for Preston and is ever-dependable for Ireland, with his versatility appreciated by managers. It’s been a tough time for the Dubliner of late. His loan move from Newcastle to Sheffield Wednesday last September should have been an opportunity to reignite his career, but he made just 11 appearances including five starts.
