FAI chief executive and chairman are calling for more than €500m in government funding in the next 15 years to address ‘chronic’ lack of investment in footballing infrastructure

The chairman of the FAI has questioned claims by bookmakers that increasing the betting levy will cause thousands of job losses in the sector, and said it is “sensible” to hike the tax as part of its drive for more football funding.
