The Mayor of the town in Tenerife where Jay Slater was potentially sighted on CCTV cameras has said he does not believe the missing teen ever made it there. A grainy CCTV image showed a figure walking past a church in Santiago del Tiede - around four miles from where Jay was last seen - at around 6pm last Monday.
"But that CCTV picture is not from us and I do not recognise that place - I do not think it is in Santiago del Tiede and he is not here. We will help the police but it makes no sense. As the desperate search for the teenager enters its 11th day, the Civil Guard are focussing their efforts to the north of the Masca Gorge. Three separate ravines, including one where it is believed Jay's phone last 'pinged' shortly after he disappeared, are also being searched.
