Manchester United left it late to break Brentford hearts, with two stoppage-time goals from Scott McTominay turning a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead at Old Trafford

Brentford fans taunted Erik ten Hag with chants of "You're getting sacked in the morning," only for the Manchester United manager's substitutions helping his team claim a last-gasp victory over the Bees.

Mathias Jensen gave the visitors a half-time lead, with Andre Onana unable to get a firm enough hand to the midfielder's low shot. The score remained 1-0 going into second-half stoppage-time, with the chants audible around Old Trafford as Brentford led, only for two late goals from Scott McTominay to give United a crucial victory.

"Massive . Everyone knows we are in a difficult period at the minute, but we have fighters in the group that want to keep going right until the end. It could have been anyone on that pitch scoring the two goals. Really pleased and hopefully we can build on that from here. "I actually felt like we defended it very well, and didn't give any big chances away... well until the third minute of injury time. Then of course to lose the game is even more brutal. At least a draw was probably a fairer reflection."
