The annual Courts Service report shows the spend on foreign language interpreters soared by 50% in two years

Taxpayers forked out €1.5million for interpreters to translate in our courts last year, new figures show.Funding for the translation service came to €1,499,021 in 2019, compared to €1,322,820 in 2018 and €1,038,000 in 2017.
