“I am confident we will get back to Level 3 and a bit in December…but at the same time we need to not be complacent,” he said. Varadkar said shops should only sell items that are essential, adding that workwear is essential, but general clothing is not.
So it’s ok for Tesco to sell everything and increase their stocks of PPE!! Why bankrupt all business we just need to be sensible wear a mask sanitise and social distance. There will be no where to go when this is all over!!

I get why people are annoyed, however, when the store you work for is abiding by the guidelines it is unfair. And selling the PPE is just a cop out. People are addicted to shopping in this country & if shops are open they’ll keep shopping and then what’s the point? 🤷🏻♀️

Cos forcing elderly people to sit outside bars, restaurants in the rain and cold so they could experience social interaction was the height of intelligence and fairness.
No problem for all shops to remain open if enforcement measures on mask wearing were in place and disinfectant procedures.Number of customers in each shop could be determined by shop size & ventilation in situ.Any one queuing would have to wear masks & maintain social distance.
