Hospital, school and blood bank recently targeted by government forces

The organisation says it has verified six attacks in the past month that have displaced thousands of people to cities and towns close to the Turkish border.

"Deliberate attacks on civilians and on civilian objects, including hospitals and other medical facilities, and indiscriminate attacks that kill or injure civilians are war crimes," said Lynn Maalouf, Middle East Research Director, at Amnesty International. Idlib is the last major opposition stronghold in north-west Syria. The province’s population has increased from one million to an estimated three million because of displacement from other parts of the country.
