Daniel Sturridge praises Liverpool squad man for 'working tirelessly' behind front three

Daniel Sturridge says he was "buzzing" for his former Liverpool teammates as they became the players that ended the Reds' 30-year wait for a top-flight league title.

He joined Turkish side Trabzonspor, but his move to Turkey ultimately turned sour when he was banned from football for four months in March for breaching betting offences. "It's been a long time coming for the fans. When I was at the club we finished second twice but got pipped to the post by Man City both times," Sturridge told Sky Sports.

"Even for myself watching the boys and just seeing them celebrating everything, I was buzzing for them.
