Strictly's Shirley Ballas: Two marriages, 'toyboy' lover, and famous son

Shirley Ballas is one of the most recognisable faces in the UK and Ireland thanks to her role as head judge on Strictly Come Dancing.

The couple were professional dance partners and won a string of titles together, tying the knot in 1980.Despite splitting up, the pair are said to have remained good friends over the years.They were married for 22 years and share son Mark, 37, but split up in 2007.

The couple have a 12-year age gap as Shirley is 62 and Danny is 50. But this doesn't bother the Strictly judge. "He’s also very kind and very caring – he’s always there for me. I hope he’ll propose one day, but he’s never married and I think he’s a bit nervous about it, so we’ll see.
