Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has admitted driving a car which was last taxed eight months ago. He told the Irish Mirror it was an oversight which has now been rectified.

When asked if it had remained untaxed for eight months, since September 2022, he confirmed this, saying: “Yes.” He added: ““That tenancy was registered and renewed with the RTB on a number of occasions and is currently registered,” he added.“The RTB indicated that this should be backdated online, which was done last week.

It is an offence to fail to register a tenancy with the RTB within one month of the tenancy commencing.
