Minister McEntee revealed that 105 voluntarily returned to their home country while 34 were forcibly removed out by the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) which enforces the government's deportation orders
A total of 857 international protection applicants were ordered to leave Ireland last year but the government does not know whether they left or not.
Minister McEntee revealed that 105 voluntarily returned to their home country while 34 were forcibly removed out by the Garda National Immigration Bureau which enforces the government's deportation orders. Another 14 also left according to deportations otherwise confirmed plus three cases who flew to other EU states to have their International Protection re-examined.
The minister also said the total cost of deportations - removals from the state was €494,829 for last year.
