A section of the N71 at Rosscarbery has been closed and diversions are in place from Clonakilty to Skibbereen.
Emergency crews are working to divert flood waters away from the N71 and a number of properties but heavy rain overnight has caused further damage to the Rosscarbery to Glandore road and the R597 at Roury Bridge. However, the N71 has reopened at Connonagh. In a statement, Cork County Council said food waters have abated in some areas, but road edges may have been washed aware or undermined and urged road users to take extreme care.
