Son of accused Kinahan cartel mobster pays tribute to jailed dad on Father’s Day

The son of accused Kinahan cartel mobster Liam Byrne has paid tribute to his jailed dad on Father’s Day - telling him he will “See you soon”.

His co-accused and brother-in-law Thomas “Bomber” Kavanagh is also locked up in Belmarsh Prison where he is serving a 21-year sentence for conspiracy to import firearms.

Last December, NCA released incredible pictures of Byrne in their custody after he was successfully extradited back from Spain. He was arrested in June 2023 while he was eating at a restaurant in the Alcudia area of Mallorca. He had flown into Palma Airport from Dubai – the home of mob boss Daniel Kinahan on May 26, 2023.
