The much-anticipated spring cost of the living package, worth a nice €200, will top off those receiving social welfare this April, meaning that as well as their normal social welfare payment they will also receive extra cash.
Speaking to RSVP Live, the department explained: "The April cost of living payment is due to issue in the week commencing April 24. This will be issued along with a customer’s main qualifying payment in this week." “In addition, it will be paid to people who receive the Working Family Payment and who have not received the lump sum on their primary payment. The Department is working for this payment to be made in late April."
