One Irish county recording highest Covid numbers by far amid fears of another Omicron wave

Irish health officials have today confirmed 7,729 cases of Covid-19 confirmed by PCR tests as cases continue to rise.

As of 8am today, 1,338 Covid-19 patients are in hospitals across the country being treated for severe effects of the illness - of which 61 are in ICU. These are followed by: Limerick , Offaly , Clare , Laois , Wexford , Roscommon , Tipperary , Cork , Louth , Donegal and Kerry .
