A wax figure of Sinéad O’Connor has been unveiled at the National Wax Museum in Dublin a day before her first anniversary.
The statue was unveiled by museum owner Paddy Dunning, one of Sinead’s lifelong friends, this morning.The Dublin museum is already home to wax recreations of the likes of Phil Lynott, Michael Jackson and Jedward.The figure was created by wax artist PJ Heraghty – and will be his last after 40 years in the business.“So sorry Sinéad if you don’t like it, but hopefully you do.
“We are deeply honoured to pay tribute to Sinéad O’Connor with this new wax figure,” said Mr Dunning. “I met Sinéad 40 years ago when she walked into Temple Lane Studios for the first time when she was 17 and I was 18.Sinéad O’Connor at the Cambridge Folk Festival, 01-08-2014. The National Wax Museum Plus offers visitors a diverse collection of wax figures representing notable Irish and international personalities from various fields – including music, literature, film, and politics.
