Zebo, 34, gave hope to his army of fans that he might be staying on with a series of typically swashbuckling displays in recent weeks as reigning champions Munster pushed themselves to the forefront of affairs in the URC again.
"It has been a dream come true, making memories and friends for life and travelling the world with amazing people. Although he hasn't played for Ireland since 2017, when he announced that he was leaving Munster for Racing 92, Zebo has been one of Irish rugby's most exciting players of the past decade and more.
But ultimately he fell victim to the IRFU's policy of not selecting players for Ireland who were plying their trade abroad. He joined Racing in 2018. He was still in the Munster academy when he made his first team bow in 2010 and won the Magners League with the province the following year. After scoring 25 tries in 60 appearances with Racing, Zebo returned to Munster in 2021 and has scored 13 tries in 29 appearances in his second coming.
