Tanaiste Simon Coveney has said that restrictions in place to help curb the spread of coronavirus may remain in place "for some time".The measures were ordered amid fears that critical care hospitals will soon be overwhelmed by cases.
"I think people do need to realise that these restrictions may go on for some time and it's wrong to put a timeline on it. There are currently 3,447 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic, while there have been 85 deaths.
