Five-star hotel overlooking St Stephen’s Green had been for sale with a reported price tag of €260m

The five-star Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin has been sold to European investor Archer Hotel Capital, which also owns the Conrad Hotel on the other side of St Stephen’s Green.

Will AI really conquer all before it? Some insiders privately voice doubts about the ebullient narrative Archer was advised by Arthur Cox, Allen & Overy, Grant Thornton, TFT, WSP and Lockton. Third party financing was provided by Deutsche Bank. It acquired the Conrad in 2019 and has since received planning permission to add a major extension to the property.
