Ireland,Weather,High Pressure

Ireland is expected to experience settled and drier weather with slightly above average temperatures later this month, providing a welcome break from recent adverse weather conditions. Met Éireann's extended forecast suggests a general trend towards high pressure, which would likely result in near average or drier than normal conditions over Ireland.

Generally settled, drier than average conditions with slightly above average temperatures are set to finally arrive in Ireland later this month in a welcome break from the adverse weather experienced in recent weeks.

As with all longer-term forecasts, Met Éireann has flagged that such as forecast is “tentative” at this remove, but it does tally with a similar outlook from weather expert Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather. Mainly dry at first on Tuesday night, but rain and drizzle will develop in the southwest early in the night and will extend to most areas overnight, becoming heavy at times. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees early on, but becoming milder later in freshening south to southeast winds.Wednesday will be dull and misty with outbreaks of rain and drizzle as well as some hill and coastal fog. There'll be some dry spells too, mainly in the east and southeast in the afternoon.
