In a time where smartphones have become an indispensable part of our lives, the hunt for a charging port can feel like a desperate quest, especially when navigating through the bustling terminals of an airport.

Jae Ro, representing SIGNAL + POWER, a plug adapter manufacturer, shares reasons why you should steer clear of these airport charging stations.Jae said: "The convenience comes with a huge security riskSpeaking to MailOnline he added: "This malware can lurk undetected, quietly stealing sensitive information like passwords and banking details."

The account posted: "Avoid using free charging stations in airports, hotels or shopping centers. Bad actors have figured out ways to use public USB ports to introduce malware and monitoring software onto devices." He said: "Once infected, your phone becomes vulnerable not just at the airport, but wherever you take it."
