The Fórsa union has said school secretaries and caretakers have been left 'frustrated and disappointed' over talks on their pay and conditions

School secretaries and caretakers are "frustrated and disappointed" at the Government's failure to table concrete proposals to address low pay, job insecurity and inadequate pensions in their grades, according to their union Fórsa.

"We would also be concerned if there were an attempt to undermine the assurances given by refusing to give school secretaries and caretakers access to the same pension terms as workers they work alongside in every school." He said that regarding access for the secretaries to the 2013 public service pensions scheme, the officials had said they were going to conduct yet another "data gathering exercise".

They can happily enjoy their social welfare of Euro 202 per week if school secretaries and caretakers are not happy

When Fórsa was IMPACT, this was an issue! This is nothing new. Sitting on their hands while members pay their inflated dues. I'm a trade unionist, but the lot of them under the guise of ICTU have been hushed up by the government. Connolly et al would roll in their grave!! ✊🏼

This has been going on for years. Very unfair treatment.
