Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska took home the gold in a time of 12.53, Danuta Kozak of Hungary coming in behind her for silver with Switzerland’s Ditaji Kambundji taking the bronze. Lavin, who earlier in the semi-final clocked a new PB of 12.79, found a late burst of acceleration close to the line to move up the field and stop the clock at 12.86
Efrem Gidey records a personal best to finish sixth in the 10,000m at the European Athletics Championships, with Ireland team-mate Hiko Tonosa back in 18th.
