Travelling during the pandemic is no easy feat with restrictions, vaccination status and quarantine rules all to consider before you even pay for a flight.

Under the current Covid-19 guidelines, non-essential international travel can resume on July 19, with Ireland set to operate the Digital Covid Certificate for travel within the EU. Passengers can make up to two flight changes for travel by December 31 for bookings made after June 10 last year. Aer Lingus The airline says passengers can change their flight online for free as often as they need as standard on any route and any fare type until December 31.If you decide not to travel, you are entitled to a voucher, but only if you apply at least 14 days in advance of your departure date and only if you have booked the Plus, Smart, Advantage, Flex, Business or Business Flex fares.

Air Portugal TAP Air Portugal operate flights from Ireland to many of Irish holidaymakers' favourite European hotspots, including the Algarve, Lisbon, Gran Canaria and Tenerife. For bookings made as of September 1 last year, if your flight has been cancelled, you can apply for a voucher with an additional 10% of the value added on.
