Bookies have stopped taking bets on who will star as the next James Bond amid mounting speculation that the role has been offered to 33-year-old action film actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Aaron played Charlie Chaplin in the 2003 film Shanghai Knights and in 2008 he starred in the British romcom Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. He drew critical praise for playing John Lennon in the biopic film Nowhere Boy - where he met his wife.
Aaron was just 18 at the time and Sam was 42 and had divorced her husband Jay Jopling the year before. Aaron and Sam announced their engagement at the Nowhere Boy premiere in October 2009. They announced they were expecting their first child together in January 2010 and in July that year their daughter Wylda Rae was born. Their second daughter Romy Hero was born in January 2012. Sam also has two older daughters from her previous marriage.
