RTE's brand new show 'Holy F' aired on Sunday night as Ardal O'Hanlon chatted with a host of well-know faces about Ireland's love affair with bad language.
The Navan comedian wasn’t the only famous face turning the airwaves blue. Unsurprisingly Boomtown Rats singer Bob Geldof, who has never been adverse to the odd swear word popped up discussing his legendary Live Aid slip up where he dropped the F bomb on air. Galway-born novelist Lisa McInerney also appeared alongside Dr Emma Byrne, the author of How To Build A Human and Swearing is Good For You.
She needn’t have worried though as viewers were absolutely loving the show with asterisks featuring heavily on social media as they rushed to discuss it without wishing to be banned from the sites. While yet another user felt quite validated by the show saying: “Jaysus, I feel great now about my colourful language. I’ve been aligned with poets, journos and writers this eve. F***** deadly #HolyF ”
