The former Rose of Tralee winner thanked the midwives and staff for their care while sending a message of positivity to other expectant mums in this difficult time

Taking to Twitter, the RTE presenter and maths professor revealed she welcomed her second child with husband Carloz Diaz last week.

The TV presenter, who welcomed her first child, son Naoise Garcia, last summer, also sent a message to all the other expectant mums heading into labour during this stressful time. Ní Shúilleabháin subtly announced she was expecting her second child in August while promoting her upcoming six-part science series 10 Things to Know About on RTÉ One.
