Ross County secured their first ever victory over Rangers, denting the latter's Scottish Premiership title hopes. Despite a half-time warning from manager Philippe Clement, Rangers failed to perform and conceded an own goal in the first half. County then scored two quick goals in the second half, followed by a stunning third goal from Josh Sims. Although Rangers managed to score two goals, including a late penalty, it was not enough to secure a win.

It was the Dingwall club’s first victory over Rangers after 20 defeats and four draws in 24 previous meetings.Killer instinct of matchwinner Sammie Szmodics lacking for Leeds – Daniel Farke “You come into half-time in a good way 1-0 ahead and I warned the players it was not good enough in the first half and I wanted to see more second half and keep the clean sheet, but then you concede two goals in five minutes or something like that and start to chase the game.

County boss Don Cowie believes his players “took real belief from what was happening on the pitch” to get a “big win.”“We weren’t clinical enough and didn’t take them. But you sense it as a player. You realise what’s happening. And they built from that.
